NewSkills is an online learning platform published by DreamPro. For any questions about your personal data, contact us at: privacy@newskills.app.
2. Data we collect
We collect the following data:
- Identity data: full name, email address, phone number (if used for OTP authentication).
- Profile data: country, preferred language, profile picture (optional).
- Learning data: course progress, notes, reviews submitted, certificates earned.
- Payment data: transactions are processed by our providers (CinetPay, Stripe). We do not store payment card details.
- Technical data: IP address, device type, browser language (for security and service improvement purposes).
3. Purposes of processing
- Providing and improving the online learning service.
- Managing your account and authenticating your sessions.
- Issuing certificates of completion.
- Processing payments and managing subscriptions.
- Sending service-related communications (confirmations, progress notifications).
- Complying with our legal obligations.
4. Legal basis
Processing is based on: (a) performance of a contract (service provision), (b) consent (marketing communications), and (c) our legal obligations.
5. Data sharing
We never sell your data. It may be shared with our technical sub-processors (Supabase for hosting, Cloudflare for video, CinetPay/Stripe for payments, Termii for SMS). These providers act under our instructions and in accordance with their own privacy policies.
6. Retention period
Your data is retained for the duration of your relationship with NewSkills, then deleted or anonymised within 3 years of account closure, unless required by law.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR and applicable local legislation, you have the following rights:
- Right of access to your personal data.
- Right to rectification of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"), exercisable from your account settings.
- Right to data portability.
- Right to object and to restrict processing.

8. Cookies
NewSkills uses only cookies that are essential to the service (authentication, session preferences). No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure (encryption in transit and at rest, database-level row security policies, access restricted to authorised personnel).
